విదేశీ విద్యార్థుల పాస్పోర్ట్ సేవలను వేగవంతం చేయడంతో పాటు కడ పలో కొత్తగా ప్రాంతీయ పాస్పోర్ట్ కార్యాలయం ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని ఎన్ఆర్ఐ సాధికారత, సంబంధాల శాఖ మంత్రి కొండపల్లి శ్రీనివాస్ సూచించారు. విదేశీ వ్యవహారాల మంత్రిత్వ శాఖ, రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వ సంయుక్త ఆధ్వర్యంలో 'విదేశీ సంపర్క్' కార్యక్రమాన్ని విజయవాడలోని ఓ హోటల్లో శుక్రవారం నిర్వహించారు. మంత్రి శ్రీని వాస్ మాట్లాడుతూ విదేశాల్లో ఉపాధి అవకాశాలపై రాష్ట్రానికి సమాచారం అందించాలని కేంద్ర అధికారులను కోరారు. ఎన్ఆర్ఐల పెట్టుబడులను ప్రోత్సహించేందుకు అమరావతిలో ప్రవాసీ భారతీయ దివస్ నిర్వహించా లని ప్రతిపాదించారు. విదేశాంగ శాఖకు సంబంధించిన భవన సము దాయ నిర్మాణాన్ని అమరావతిలో ప్రారంభించాలని, తద్వారా రాష్ట్ర ప్రజ లకు అన్ని సేవలు ఒకే కేంద్రంలో అందుబాటులోకి వస్తాయని పేర్కొ న్నారు. విదేశాలకు వెళ్లేవారు వైద్య పరీక్షల నిమిత్తం హైదరాబాద్ వెళ్ల కుండా అమరావతిలోనే ఆ సౌకర్యం కల్పించాలని కోరారు. ప్రవాసుల సమస్యల పరిష్కారానికి నోడల్ అధికారులను నియమించాలన్నారు. కార్యక్రమంలో విదేశాంగ శాఖ కార్యదర్శి అరుణ్కుమార్ చటర్జీ, ఏపీ సీఎస్ కె. విజయానంద్, సీనియర్ అధికారులు ముఖేష్ కుమార్ మీనా, ఏపీ ఎన్ఆర్టీ సొసైటీ డైరెక్టర్ ఆఫ్ ఆపరేషన్స్ (సర్వీసెస్) ఎ. నాగేంద్ర బాబు తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు

Iconic NRT Building Construction Begins in Amaravati

Work on another crucial structure has begun in Andhra Pradesh’s capital, Amaravati. The APNRT Society has issued a tender call for the first phase of the iconic building for non-resident Telugus in the administrative city. The deadline for tender submissions is the 10th of this month.

Key projects shelved during the previous government are now back on track under the coalition government. The NRT Icon building, to be constructed on five acres, will soon begin foundation work as the Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu Society (APNRTS) has invited tenders.

The 36-storey NRT Icon building, including the podium, will be constructed in three phases. The current tenders are for the foundation work, with subsequent phases for the superstructure and exterior finishing. Estimated to cost around 600 crores, the structure will feature twin towers scheduled for completion by 2028.

The building will be constructed entirely with funds from non-resident Telugus, exclusively for their use. Residential plots and office spaces within the building will be sold only to them. The structure includes two basement floors for parking, a three-storey podium, and 33 floors above.

Each of the twin towers will have 29 floors. The first tower will feature two residential plots per floor, while the second tower will house offices. These office spaces are expected to create employment opportunities for around 30,000 people, both directly and indirectly.

Four floors connecting the two towers at the top will be allocated for commercial purposes. A distinctive globe between the towers will serve as the building’s special attraction, offering a 360-degree view of Amaravati. The globe will house restaurants, kitchens, executive dining halls, and lounges covering 10,000-12,000 square feet.

The building will include a dedicated NRT clubhouse, a 2,000-seat auditorium, and a 1,500-seat amphitheater for conferences and events.

Former CM Chandrababu Naidu had laid the foundation for this building between 2014-19. About 104 non-resident Telugus had paid 33 crores for plots in the building. However, the project was shelved when the YSRCP government came to power. With the TDP coalition government now in office, legal hurdles have been cleared, paving the way for construction.

వివరాల్లోకి వెళితే శ్రీ పొట్టి శ్రీరాములు నెల్లూరు జిల్లా దుత్తలూరు మండలం నర్రవాడ గ్రామానికి చెందిన భవనాసి సత్యబాబు గారు 2014వ సంవత్సరంలో ఉద్యోగ నిమిత్తం సౌదీ అరేబియాకు వలస వెళ్లారు. KEC ఇంటర్నేషనల్ లిమిటెడ్ కంపెనీలో కన్‌స్ట్రక్షన్ మేనేజర్ గా పనిచేస్తూ సౌదీ అరేబియాలోని APNRTS కో-ఆర్డినేటర్స్ సహాయంతో ప్రవాసాంధ్ర భరోసా బీమా పథకం నందు నమోదు చేసుకున్నారు. 2024 ఏప్రిల్ 5న దురదృష్టవశాత్తు రోడ్డు ప్రమాదంలో తీవ్ర గాయాలపాలై మరణించారు. ఆయనకు భార్య , రెండేళ్ల కుమారుడు ఉన్నారు. కుటుంబసభ్యులు ప్రవాసాంధ్ర భరోసా బీమా ప్రయోజనాలను పొందడానికి సహాయం కోసం ఏపీఎన్ఆర్టీ 24/7 హెల్ప్ ‌లైన్‌ ను సంప్రదించగా.. వారి అభ్యర్ధనను స్వీకరించిన APNRTS అధికారులు సకాలంలో స్పందించి సంబధిత పత్రాలను సమాచారాన్ని సేకరించి న్యూ ఇండియా అస్యూరెన్స్ కంపెనీకి సమర్పించడం జరిగింది. అంతేకాకుండా ఎప్పటికప్పుడు ఇన్సూరెన్స్ కంపెనీ ప్రతినిథులతో సమన్వయం చేసుకుంటూ బీమా క్లెయిమ్ త్వరగా సెటిల్ అయ్యేలా చర్యలు తీసుకోవడం జరిగింది. 

న్యూ ఇండియా అస్యూరెన్స్ కంపెనీ 2025 జులై 8వ తేదీన రూ.10,00,000/- క్లెయిమ్ ను ఆమోదించి, APNRTS ద్వారా పాలసీదారుని భార్య (నామినీ/ బెనిఫిషరీ)కి అందజేశారు. ఈ మొత్తం ప్రక్రియలో కీలకపాత్ర పోషించిన APNRTS  మరియు న్యూ ఇండియా అస్యురెన్స్ కంపెనీకి  మృతుని  కుటుంబ సభ్యులు కృతఙ్ఞతలు తెలిపారు.

Dr. Ravi Vemuru has been reappointed as the Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu Society (APNRTS), marking a significant moment in the state’s effort to engage with the Telugu diaspora. As part of the ongoing process to fill nominated positions in the state, Dr. Vemuru, who previously served as Chairman from 2014 to 2019, is recognized for his exceptional service and leadership. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, acknowledging his valuable contributions, entrusted Dr. Vemuru with the key responsibility once again to continue strengthening ties between the state and the NRI community.

Hailing from Tenali, Dr. Ravi Vemuru has long been a prominent leader of the Telugu NRI community and a key figure in the development of Andhra Pradesh. His work with APNRTS, especially in serving the needs of Telugu expatriates, has earned widespread recognition. Under his leadership, the organization played a pivotal role in providing critical information, ensuring the welfare of NRIs, and encouraging their involvement in the state’s progress. APNRTS continues to be an essential platform for the diaspora to access services and contribute to the state’s development.

The APNRTS was established by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu with the goal of enhancing the participation of NRIs in the growth of Andhra Pradesh. The organization has been instrumental in offering support and information to Telugu people residing abroad. Through his reappointment, Dr. Vemuru is expected to further strengthen the connections between the NRI community and the state, fostering an even greater sense of unity and collaboration.
